Status quo
What can we do differently?
Growing up in an Asian family, I was innocent. I don't have the independent mindset of thinking what is the cycle life? Why am I going to school, why am i getting a degree at uni and why am I getting a job right after getting my degree. Marriage and so on.

I, NEVER question the cycle because it worked for my family, it worked for other people and many others.

Growing up, there is always this constant judgement of society towards me and it affects me! Because I always give a fuck! If you swear, you're automatically a bad kid. If you have a tattoo, you're a bad person, if you have bad grades, you're stupid. If you have less than 10 friends, you're not popular or you're a loner.
But, Why?
There's three different types of people in school. There is the "popular" person with a lot of friends, there's this "lonely kid" with their losers friend and there's this other type of person that is always by themselves. They are not bothered of whether they have a friend or not!

Wow! This kind of people fascinates me and this caught me thinking, why are you happy? You're decent looking, good at grades, but don't really have friends! How are you surviving mentally?

It's been 2 years before I actually try attempting this. If I couldn't find a set of friends that I truly wanted, why force myself being friends with people that are only polite to me.
Friends are individuals that are comfortable with each other existence, regardless of swearing and insults made per rate.
My analogy is, we as a greater generation has to use our brain and think, Why can't we do it this way! There's gotta be an alternative. The best decision is the decision made yourself. Do something that you want and makes you happy!

There's no specific rule in social norm. I am not saying this to be rebellious and be like "YEAH! Let's not do this!" But instead, think! Why are we doing this.
The older generations does not have the privilege to challenge the status quo that they were being in because they are busy making money, paying rent and putting food on the table which I completely understand.

Last thing before I end, It doesn't matter if you did bad in high school, you're skinny, fat or whatever! Just remember what you got is what you got! What matters is what's in your mind! Be strong and just don't give a fuck.
